A side salad recipe inspired by Texas Roadhouse’ famous house salad. Crisp lettuce, tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, shredded cheddar cheese, chunky seasoned croutons topped with a creamy buttermilk ranch dressing is a classic fan favorite.

6cupsromaine lettuce or romaine/iceberg lettuce blend, chopped
1cupcherry or grape tomatoes
2hard-boiled eggs, chopped
¼cupcheddar cheese, shredded
1cupseasoned croutons
½cupbuttermilk ranch dressing
Instructions
Place 1 ½ cups lettuce on each salad plate.
Add 3-4 cherry tomatoes, ½ boiled egg, 1 Tablespoon shredded cheese and ¼ cup croutons to each salad. Serve with buttermilk ranch dressing on the side.
Notes
Cheese: If you really like cheese, you can add 2 Tbsp. per salad.
Croutons: look for a larger crouton, such as New York Bakery Texas Toast style croutons.
If you are preparing ahead of time, wait to add the eggs, cheese and croutons till just before serving
