Ingredients

  • cup whole wheat flour
  • cup oats
  • 2 Tbsp. ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. baking soda
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter melted
  • 1 Tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a large bowl combine flour, oats, flaxseed, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. In a medium-sized bowl whisk together wet ingredients - eggs, milk, brown sugar, oil and vanilla.
  • Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  • Pour approximately ⅓ cup batter into pre-heated waffle iron and cook until waffle maker indicates ready.
