- ⅔ cup whole wheat flour
- ⅓ cup oats
- 2 Tbsp. ground flaxseed
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- ¼ tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter melted
- 1 Tsp. vanilla extract
In a large bowl combine flour, oats, flaxseed, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. In a medium-sized bowl whisk together wet ingredients - eggs, milk, brown sugar, oil and vanilla.
Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients, mixing just until combined.
Pour approximately ⅓ cup batter into pre-heated waffle iron and cook until waffle maker indicates ready.
